FAQ
What is an NXP UCODE® 8 Card?
An NXP UCODE® 8 Card is a UHF (860–960 MHz) RFID smart card based on EPC Gen2 / ISO 18000-6C standards. It is designed for high-speed item identification and large-scale tracking applications.
How does a UCODE 8 Card work?
The card communicates with UHF RFID readers using radio frequency signals. Each card contains a unique EPC identifier that can be read at long distances, even when multiple tags are scanned at the same time.
What is an NXP UCODE 8 Card used for?
UCODE 8 Cards are widely used in:

Retail inventory management
Warehouse and logistics tracking
Supply chain visibility systems
Asset tracking and management
Apparel and fashion item tagging
Pallet and carton tracking
Smart factory automation
What are the advantages of UCODE 8 technology?
Key benefits include:

Long read range (UHF band 860–960 MHz)
Fast bulk reading with anti-collision capability
EPC Gen2 global standard compatibility
Cost-effective for large-scale deployment
Reliable performance in dense tag environments
Suitable for global supply chain use
What is the difference between UCODE 8 and UCODE 9?
UCODE 8: Cost-effective solution for standard retail and logistics tracking
UCODE 9: Higher sensitivity, faster reading, and improved performance for dense and high-speed industrial environments
Can UCODE 8 Cards be read from long distances?
Yes. Depending on antenna design and reader power, UCODE 8 UHF RFID cards can typically be read from several meters away, making them suitable for warehouse and logistics operations.
Can UCODE 8 Cards be customized?
Yes. We provide OEM/ODM customization including:

Logo printing
EPC encoding and serialization
Barcode / QR code printing
Variable data printing
Card, inlay, or label format options
Adhesive or industrial-grade designs
